A long time ago, my teacher Brian McDonald gave a sketcbhook to a couple of his artist friends to draw characters created or illustrated by the great Jack Kirby. Fifteen years later the book made its way to my desk. The book is nothing short of amazing. Here is my submission to its pages.

Ralph McQuarrie passed away last weekend. Needless to say the impact he had on artists from his generation and onward. We will all, whether we know it or not, continue to draw inspiration from his incredible vision.

I was commisioned to do a piece by a coworker. After seeing the life of Yoda ther had to be a life of Palpatine. I most proud of the awesome frame I found. I didnt feel right asking for money so for this work of art i asked for a GIANT CHOCOLATE CAKE. A cake that would guarantee a diabetic coma. She certainly delivered.

Once again I had the chance to submit a little piece to the lucasfilm auction. This year I went with a life of Yoda concept. It was fun to do and it was nice to use my marker and pen set again.
